Engine Of The Day: BMW OHV V8
A pushrod, carburetor-fed V8 from BMW? Sure, but you have to go back about a half-century.
Just as Chevrolet had a prehistoric V8, so did BMW, with the aluminum-block, 90-degree engine used to power the BMW 502, 503, 507, and 3200 CS. Built from 1954 through 1965, the BMW OHV was available in displacements of 2.6 and 3.2 liters. Maximum horsepower output was 160. V8 fans had to wait nearly 30 years for BMW to return to the V8 layout.I am not Sure it`s a Motorcycle engine bigged out but it`s too powerful that call it OHC engine of big mouth. For those who drive ohv engines of bmw like these and say no quality actually want other`s as there powers.
